Who doesn't love a carmel apple? How about 4 children under the age of 5 making carmel apples? Ok. I know it sounds scary but it was a blast.

Becky and I got the kids together for a play date and making carmel apples was our first adventure. We started with delicious green apples, each child had their own station. While Becky melted the carmels I got the kids some candies to decorate their apples. Becky helped each kids roll the apples in the carmel and then they were free to decorate it as they wished.

This didn't go so well. The kids decorated the hot carmel apples and everything slowly slid to the bottom of the apples. Becky and I kept scooping up the blobs of carmel and putting them back on top of the apples. The nice thing about carmel apples is that they don't have to be pretty to be good.
