Christmas 2009

Love the Christmas but how long does the music have to go on?

Matt and I always talk about having a low key Christmas but then I look under the tree and think, jeez that looks lousy so I shop more. Not only that but when you have a super ginormous tree, even 100 presents don't look like enough, so I blaming this Christmas extravaganza on the husband.

Santa left a lot of wonderful presents for Camden:
Heely's
Star Wars Figures
Skateboard
Motocross Boots
DS Games
A Giant Kite
Football
Board Games
Zhu Zhu Pets
Power Rangers
Legos, Legos and More Legos

No wonder six year olds love Christmas.

Funny story about the giant kite. Camden and I were shopping at Costco on Christmas Eve and he saw this giant kite. He said "please Mom can I have that kite" I said "no" and then I said "ok but you can't have it until Christmas morning, and if I buy it for you then you have to act totally suprised." Christmas morning came and Camden could have won a Grammy. He was "so suprised" you would never have suspected that he knew he was getting a kite.
Camden was really excited to make cookies for Santa. We shopped late into the day, went out with the family and then came home to unwrap one gift. As we were heading to bed Camden went "oh shoot" and I said "we forgot to make cookies didn't we." So Camden wrote Santa a great note and we re-gifted peanut butter chocolate squares, Santa will never know.

So as a parting Christmas wish...
I leave you with the picture I title:
most expensive dog, with cheapest bow

With all this snow we've had, this post was perfect to read. It actually made me appreciate the snow and why we have it---for Christmas. I will put on some carols. Camden is getting big. He's one handsome guy too.
